How did El Reno get its name?

El Reno was originally called Reno City and is located roughly five miles north of where it is now, on the banks of the North Canadian River. After the town was inundated for the second time, it was relocated to its current site and given the name El Reno (to avoid confusion with Reno, Nevada). Reno is a Spanish term meaning "reindeer." Reindeer are not native to Oklahoma, therefore the town gained its name from the adjacent Fort Reno.

How many people live in El Reno?

El Reno is the county seat and largest city in Canadian County, Oklahoma. The city's population was 19,965 according to the United States Census Bureau's 2019 estimate. Up over 19% from 2010 population estimates. 12% of the population is over 65 and 23% under 18.

What is life like living in El Reno?

El Reno is a pleasant area to live in. There are several family-friendly activities that take place each year and the town has parks, a lake, and plenty of nature trails. The majority of the people here are nice and helpful, plus there are several community initiatives to assist you when you're in need, such as blessing boxes and free laundry days. New businesses open up all the time, delivering a taste of the big city. This little town is rapidly expanding and has a lot to offer!

What are the directions to Crimson Lake Estates?

From Oklahoma City: Head west on Interstate 40 for 29 miles. Exit 123 for S. Country Club Rd and turn right onto S. Country Club Rd. Take a left on W. Elm Street, Take a left on Babcock Drive. Turn left into the community on Crimson Lake Blvd and the Information Center will be on your right.
